Common

River soundings — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 9,810,048 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly lines, mostly rust. It sits in block 179,935, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Proofreader Costa set it down in a silver print, and the sheet shows a crease through the third line.

It is folio 48 of Cedar 2, in the Last Walk, North Ink stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
