The Tidal Sketch

№ 0089908026

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Linen stack.

Edition 89,908,026 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly triangles, mostly rust. It sits in block 81,599, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Keeper Moreau set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 26 of Hazel 1, in the Last Court, North Linen stack. The unit of measure was abolished.
