The Amber Clock

№ 0559999000

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the Lower Glass stack.

Edition 559,999,000 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly pentagons, mostly lilac. It sits in block 4,461, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Night archivist Walsh set it down in soft pencil, and the sheet shows the last line underlined.

It is folio 1000 of Hazel 10, in the Last Court, Lower Glass stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
