The Second Proof

№ 0500805000

Common

Well depths — kept in the Lower Ink stack.

Edition 500,805,000 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly triangles, mostly rose. It sits in block 42,325, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Filed without a date. Night archivist Berg set it down in needle pricks, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 1000 of Birch 1, in the Quiet Walk, Lower Ink stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
