Winter bird counts — kept in the Upper Linen stack.

Edition 489,398,000 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly circles, mostly slate. It sits in block 928, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Someone numbered it in pencil. Keeper Duarte set it down in soft pencil, and the sheet shows a thumbprint in the margin.
