The Gilt Diary

№ 0437002001

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the Upper Salt stack.

Edition 437,002,001 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly squares, mostly slate. It sits in block 78,095, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Copyist Marin set it down in iron-gall ink, and the sheet shows a hairline tear at the foot.

It is folio 1 of Yew 1, in the Thin Gallery, Upper Salt stack. A marginal arrow points to the folio above.
