The Distant Vessel

№ 0430592008

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the Upper Salt stack.

Edition 430,592,008 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly triangles, mostly sage. It sits in block 41,953, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Binder Voss set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows a thumbprint in the margin.

It is folio 8 of Yew 10, in the Quiet Arcade, Upper Salt stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
