The Cracked Letter

№ 0000406050

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 406,050 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly teal. It sits in block 25,199, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Keeper Marin set it down in letterpress, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 50 of Alder 1, in the Quiet Cloister, North Ink stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
