The Winter Sketch

№ 0000397000

Common

Abandoned timetables — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 397,000 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly triangles, mostly brass. It sits in block 90,838, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

The original was copied twice. Proofreader Pell set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows a hairline tear at the foot.

It is folio 1000 of Alder 10, in the Quiet Nave, North Ink stack. Two witnesses disagree by a single unit.
