The Private Seal

№ 0003101004

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 3,101,004 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly lines, mostly rose. It sits in block 154,131, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Filed without a date. Binder Novak set it down in soft pencil, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 4 of Elm 1, in the Low Hall, North Ink stack. The keeper signed it twice.
