The Winter Key

№ 0030199016

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Salt stack.

Edition 30,199,016 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly pentagons, mostly tangerine. It sits in block 13,080, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Copyist Marin set it down in a carbon copy, and the sheet shows a stamp riding off the edge.

It is folio 16 of Willow 10, in the Quiet Hall, North Salt stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
