The Second Diary

№ 0000294398

Common

Well depths — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 294,398 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly hexagons, mostly sage. It sits in block 188,716, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Surveyor Voss set it down in letterpress, and the sheet shows tape along the fold.

It is folio 398 of Birch 10, in the Quiet Aisle, North Ink stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
