The Narrow Negative

№ 0017800007

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Paper stack.

Edition 17,800,007 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly circles, mostly saffron. It sits in block 181,344, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Proofreader Khan set it down in needle pricks, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 7 of Cedar 1, in the Thin Walk, North Paper stack. The keeper signed it twice.
