The Folded Clock

№ 0170802015

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the South Clay stack.

Edition 170,802,015 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly tangerine. It sits in block 145,504, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

The original was copied twice. Keeper Costa set it down in needle pricks, and the sheet shows a hairline tear at the foot.

It is folio 15 of Yew 1, in the Quiet Walk, South Clay stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
