The Linen Hymn

№ 0001600994

Common

Lamp failures — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 1,600,994 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly circles, mostly cream. It sits in block 49,268, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Filed without a date. Night archivist Moreau set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows a stamp riding off the edge.

It is folio 994 of Cedar 1, in the Long Vault, North Ink stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
